Petrol station cleaning — complete maintenance of petrol station sites

Forecourt washing, oil separators, above-ground and underground tanks. ADR waste transport, documentation for inspections, work that fits your schedule.

Petrol station cleaning
in North Macedonia

Cleaning petrol stations is one of the most specialized industrial tasks — it requires ADR certification for handling hazardous substances, precise coordination with the station's operating team and compliance with environmental protection regulations. EZO TEH is one of the few teams in North Macedonia covering the complete set of petrol station services — from washing the forecourts to deep cleaning the underground tanks.

We work with every type of petrol station in North Macedonia — from small local stations to large multi-brand terminals. Our team is trained to work to the standards of the leading companies (OKTA, Makpetrol, Lukoil, Shell). We hold complete documentation for work with hazardous material classes, LOTO procedures and atmospheric measurement of explosive gases before entering enclosed tanks.

We plan the work so that it does not disrupt sales — night shifts, weekend call-outs or working in one zone while the rest of the station stays open. All waste materials — sediment, oil, contaminated water, separator sludge — are transported in ADR vehicles to authorized landfills. We issue a complete set of documentation: before/after photos, transport waybills, proof of disposal.

The complete package
for petrol station cleaning

The complete package — biological products, a team certified to ISO 9001, 14001, 27001, 45001, 50001 and ADR, full documentation.

Forecourt and canopy washing

High-pressure washing of concrete forecourts, kerbs and the canopy area above the pumps. Removal of fuel residue, oil, oil stains and road grime using biodegradable products certified for use near petroleum products.

Oil and grease separator cleaning

Regular maintenance of the oil and grease separator — a legal requirement under water protection regulations. We carry out emptying, mechanical cleaning, microbiological treatment to control biofilm, and full documentation for inspection.

Above-ground tank cleaning (AST)

Cleaning of above-ground tanks for diesel, petrol and gas oil — standard tank 5,000–50,000 litres. Includes emptying the contents, ventilating the tank, high-pressure internal cleaning and removal of sludge and biofilm.

Underground tank cleaning (UST)

Specialized cleaning of underground fuel tanks — one of the most demanding jobs because of restricted access and potentially explosive gases. We use standardized procedures with continuous atmospheric monitoring, LOTO isolation of all lines and a mandatory backup team on standby.

Clean-up of spilled oil and petroleum products

Emergency response to leaks from tanks or pumps at petrol stations. Containment, absorbent treatment, disposal of contaminated material and bioremediation of what remains.

Fuel road tanker washing

Washing of road tankers that deliver fuel to petrol stations — primarily for haulage fleets. The work is done at our wash bay or at the haulier's site, as needed.

Waste disposal from petrol station sites

ADR transport and disposal of all waste materials generated when cleaning petrol stations — contaminated sediment, separator sludge, waste oil, contaminated water. Authorized landfills and hazardous waste treatment facilities.

What working
with us looks like

From the first call to the final documentation — a transparent, documented and compliant process.

01

On-site station assessment

A specialist visits the station, inspects the forecourt, tanks and separators, and identifies the specific requirements and constraints of the job. Coordination with the operating team.

02

Work and safety plan

A safety plan with LOTO procedures, atmospheric measurement and coordination with the fire service (for larger jobs). Night/weekend shift planning.

03

Preparing and isolating the zone

Setting up safety barriers, shutting off the relevant pumps and lines. Atmospheric measurement near the tanks before work begins.

04

Carrying out the cleaning

Application of biological products, high-pressure rinsing, mechanical cleaning. For underground tanks — work in a team with a backup team on standby.

05

Inspection and documentation

Video inspection, sampling, before/after photo documentation. A complete report is issued, accepted by the water protection inspectorate and the energy ministry inspectorate.

Questions
we are asked most often

How often should the oil separator be cleaned?
At least twice a year, in line with water protection regulations. Larger stations with heavy traffic need it more often, based on the volume of oil collected. Our maintenance contracts include regular scheduled visits with reminders.
How long does underground tank cleaning take?
A standard UST (20,000–50,000 L) — 1 to 2 days. Includes emptying, ventilation, internal cleaning, video inspection and sampling. The work is scheduled for a night shift or during planned pump maintenance.
Do we have to close the whole station while the work is under way?
Usually not. We plan the work in a temporarily isolated zone while the rest of the station stays open. For more complex jobs (e.g. cleaning underground tanks on the outer side of the station), the affected part of the station is closed temporarily.
Do you issue documentation for water inspections?
Yes. We issue a complete report on the oil separator cleaning, waste disposal waybills and proof of final disposal at authorized facilities. The documentation complies with the Law on Waters and inspection requirements.
Do you work with all petrol station brands?
Yes — OKTA, Makpetrol, Lukoil, Shell and local independent operators. Our team knows the operating standards of each brand.
How much does a complete petrol station service cost?
It depends on the size of the station, the number of pumps, the number of tanks and the scope of the service. Package prices for annual maintenance (separator cleaning + 2 tanks + forecourt) start from a fixed amount that depends on the configuration. Framework agreements are arranged for network operators.
